What is Direct Admission and Cal State Apply (CSU) Application workshops
Dear Class of 2027,
Many of you have received mailers and/or emails letting you know that you have been admitted to colleges. Here's some information about what Direct Admission is and our agreement with CSU East Bay.
What is Direct Admissions?
Direct admissions simplifies the college application process by proactively offering students admission to participating colleges based on their academic profile (such as GPA and course completion)—without forcing them to complete a lengthy standard application first. California has enacted SB 640, establishing a statewide CSU Direct Admission Program and expanding access to school districts across California.

Important Reminder for Class of 2027
While receiving a direct admissions notification via email (or mailer) is an exciting milestone, it is a conditional offer.
To officially claim your spot, you must still complete and submit your application through Cal State Apply. Completing this step ensures your preliminary offer transitions into official enrollment. Application portal for Fall 2027 is now open and deadline to submit is on November 30 (some campuses might have extended deadlines).
We are offering multiple workshops to help you complete the applications. Please register to attend (student login credential needed to complete this google form). You can also find these workshops and many more, by navigating to AHS website, Counseling/College & Career Center/College & Career Visits, Webinars and Workshops.
