Regional Scholarships:

The 2025 Graduating High School Senior Scholarship application period is now OPEN.

Two scholarships are available for your application:

Volunteer Service Scholarship — This scholarship recognizes graduating seniors for their volunteer service in schools and communities, allowing them to register for courses at accredited colleges, universities, and trade, or technical schools. Applicants must be PTA members graduating from a California high school between January 1 and June 30 of the current academic year.

$500 Dr. Ralph E. White Graduating Senior Scholarship – Honoring the volunteer and public-service legacy of Dr. Ralph E. White and his wife, Eleanor, this additional scholarship provides $500 each to two successful applicants of the Volunteer Service Scholarship who intend to pursue a career in the medical field.

Applications, reference forms/letters, and all supporting documents must be received in the California State PTA office by February 01, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. (PST).

Soroptimist International of Martinez is seeking applicants for the Violet Richardson Award - eligible young women aged 14-18 are required to complete. The award recipient will receive $1,000. Deadline has been extended to January 10, 2025.

Nationwide Scholarships

• AIAA Lockheed Martin Marillyn Hewson Scholarship – Female senior pursuing a STEM major/ GPA 4.0/demonstrate financial need – $10,000 (Deadline Dec 31, 2024)

• Mindscape Big Picture Scholarship - Underrepresented students pursuing physics, philosophy, mathematics, biology, literature or any other field that seeks better understanding for our existence – $10,000 - 2 Awards (Deadline: December 31, 2024)
• Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarships – Minority seniors with good GPA and have taken SAT – $30,000 (Deadline: January 9, 2025)
• American Public Service Scholarship – Seniors applying to 2 or 4-year college, pursing teaching, law enforcement or public health – $1,000 (Deadline: January 30, 2025)
• National Parent Volunteer Association Scholarships - Juniors or Seniors enrolling in 2 or 4-year college or technical colleges, a min of 2.5 GPA and are committed to volunteering – $1,000 (Deadline: Feb 28, 2025)
